It's A Girl!

So my best friend Jen was having a baby girl and of course I did the baby shower. I teamed up with our other friend Michelle which was good since I had to work three nights before. Jen decided to do the baby's room in grey, yellow and blue and so we thought it would be a good idea to incorporate those colors with the baby shower. I made the cutest invitation that I got from the bridal section at Michaels. Michelle made the tissue paper pom poms to hang and I made the cloth banner with the baby's name on it. Here are some pictures of the cute event.

Here are the invitations I used. I went to Michaels to actually find supplies to make invitations. I found these yellow and grey herringbone printable invitations and thought they were so cute. In a perfect world I would make everything but being a full time working mom I decided that I would buy these. Atleast I got to customize them myself.
Here is the picture of the fabric banner that I made. I made it so she could take it home after the shower and use it in her room. Jen named her Savannah so each flag piece has a letter on it.

I wanted to make it nice for Jen but didn't have a lot of time
(I worked night shift on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, had to sleep Thursday morning and the shower was Thursday night)
I decided to do chocolate fondue with tons of different items to dip. Fruits, pound cake, cookies, pretzels, marshmallows, you name it! It was so easy! Jen is from the south so we decided to do mason jars and grey striped straws with lemonade. Michelle made the cute mason jars and got the straws.
This is the whole set up which I think turned out really nice. Michelle made the tissue pom poms and hanged them on the ceiling with the 3M removable hooks so it wouldn't damage my ceiling
(Good thinkin' Michelle) The shower turned out well and we had a blast!
